Systems administrator and software developer in academia who drank the Rails Kool-Aid a long time ago. Despite spending all of his waking hours hacking Ruby, he's successfully avoided TextMate and continues working to convert Emacs users to VI.

Awptickes - Sysadmin
A techie at heart, spends his time watching television, and attempting to avoid looking at a computer screen while at home. Prefers to drink Diet Mtn Dew to water, likes hot sauce on everything. Swears VIM is a tool of the gods, and writes everything in TextEdit or Notepad when it is not available: only to find :w strewn throughout. Don't offer him cheese-whizz.

Kyle - Sysadmin / The guy you know from the irc
mutt, vi, lynx and surfraw are a few of his favourite things. Spends his spare time in a secret lab thwarting evil with oompah and math, like puffy. Prefers python, C, and perl. Despises the mouse. Software security engineer by trade. Incomplete sentences. Loud noises.

Bryce - Sysadmin / The op on IRC that's always /kicking you
Freelance developer, system engineer, PHP and C guru, lover of TextWrangler, ViM, and Dr. Pepper. Oh and IPv6. When not tinkering with the Devio.us backend, he's tinkering with another project/idea. Swears by whiteboards. And he can always be found lurking in #devious.

Wolfman - Farmer
A corn scientist since the age of 11, Wolfman never really liked computers. He was always in the lab using contraptions he made himself out of tin cans that "the others" packaged corn in. When we met Wolfman and showed him how a computer could increase his productivity, his corn farming business soared. He is now the primary supplier of Sweet Yellow Niblets for Chipotle.
