OpenCDE Donations

Donate to the CDE Buyout Fund

As many are aware, the Open Group's CDE is currently closed source. It may however be possible to purchase the source code from them for an unspecified amount. The OpenCDE project should be a place where interested parties put any funds together in an attempt to reach this amount.

An automated email will be sent periodically to the Open Group with the total amount we can offer. Hopefully one day our total amount will be enough. At the very least, shows them that people are still interested in getting hold of a source release of CDE.

Donate to the Development of OpenCDE

Since OpenCDE can be developed on pretty much any hardware, there is currently very little reason to ask for donations in order to purchase new machines etc... Instead I have decided to put any monetary donations towards getting hold of the source code for the Open Group's closed source implementation of CDE.
